Send Senators Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker a Christmas Greeting of Health Reform News

The U.S. Senate is expected to hold a historic vote to pass Health Care Reform on Christmas Eve. In advance of the Vote, You can wish Sens. Cochran and Wicker a Merry Christmas and tell them that reform will expand access to health care for thousands of uninsured Mississippians and afford security to those currently with insurance.

Tell them that the Senate’s Health Reform Legislation would provide coverage for 359,000 Mississippians while:

·      Preventing insurance companies from denying you based on health status and increasing premiums due to gender or health condition

·      Limiting out of pocket spending on health care and end caps on lifetime benefits providing security and stability

·      Requiring insurers to spend more dollars on direct care and less on overhead

·      Providing relief for small businesses so they can offer health care to employees and

·      Reducing the federal deficit while curbing the growth health care premiums
